Gimp

Well, Gimp is really great, currently it is my main software to create simple graphics, it can do a lot and what is best that it is free, i use it on windows and on linux, though I have my first experience with it on linux, I never liked photoshop, because I needed to buy it and that is why I never got into graphics, but after using Gimp I got interested and with time manipulating images I just found it interesting and got the knowledge how graphics are created, though I don’t know a lot about graphics, due to I am a programmer.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.
